Business Driver are delighted to welcome David Kenworthy, QPM DL as non-Executive Director. David brings a wealth of experience at the very pinnacle of road safety, public sector, commercial and charity governance. He adds invaluable support to Business Driver’s strategy and Policy management. His career as a police officer spanned 36 years, serving in four forces, culminating as Chief Constable of North Yorkshire. He was appointed Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire in 2004.
David chaired the committee responsible for the Road Policing Strategy for England and Wales and since retirement from the police service has been a keen advocate for and practitioner of high standards in corporate governance. He has chaired two national charities, including the Institute of Advance Motorists, the largest road safety charity in the UK, and from 2009 was the founding chairman of UK Anti-Doping, an arms length government body.
