    Laws regarding overtaking cyclists. Motorists must allow at least as much space as for overtaking any other vehicle.

    This is gauged to be approximately the width of a car door.

    The rule dictates that drivers must leave a minimum distance away from a cyclist when overtaking or travelling alongside a bicycle or they could face a punishment.

    UK drivers could be penalised with a £100 fine and three penalty points if caught travelling to close to a bicycle.
